  1. Peeling potatoes can be a task, especially if you took them cold out of the refrigerator. But if you boil them first, you can solve this problem. Boiling potatoes can moisten their skin, making them easy to peel.
  2. Grind some common salt in your mixer or grinder. This will ensure their blades are sharp..
  3. If you added too much salt in your food, fret not. Just add a few spoons of milk to the preparation; this will neutralise the dish. And, if you feel that the dish has too much water, like in a dal or even rice, just add some potato. It will absorb all the excess water.
  4. While preventing insects in rice storage, keep a small paper packet of boric powder or mint leaves in the container. This will keep insects and moths at bay.
  5. While storing sugar, make sure to add two to three cloves to the container. This will prevent ants from sticking to the jar or even getting attracted to the sugary smell.
  6. Place overripe tomatoes in cold water and add some salt to the vessel. This will make them fresh and firm the next morning. You can then peel the tomatoes by placing them in warm water for five to 10 minutes.
  7. Keep pooris in fridge for 10 mins before frying. They consume very less oil.
  8. Put 2-3 cloves in the sugar to keep ants at bay.
  9. Place overripe tomatoes in cold water and add some salt. Overnight they will become firm and fresh.
  10. Adding half of teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate in the milk while boiling will not spoil the milk even if you don't put it in the fridge.
  11. Add 1 teaspoon of ghee while cooking dal in cooker it will add flavour and also prevent dal to spill off from cooker.
  12. Adding cardamom powder to bundi raita ,it will enhance the flavour.
  13. While preparing lassi just add few drops of rose essence. It will give nice aroma and taste
  14. While rolling paratha stuff it with pickle masala . 
  15. To make poha and sabudana khichdi more tastier and good looking sprinkle very little amount of water after it has been fried, turn off the flame and cover it completely with lid. Open and Serve after 10 minutes. The taste will be improved
