Middle Eastern Hummus (Healthy Version)

This is my favorite & healthy Hummus Recipe!! With a few simple steps you can make a really smooth homemade hummus & you can have this with Shawarma, Falafal, Pizza, Fresh veggies like Cucumber, Carrot or any other dip fried food or snacks. Can also use this as marination.

Hummus is commonly eaten in the Middle East and the Mediterranean. It is a delicious spread or dip made from chickpeas, tahini, lemon, and spices, but here I am making hummus with kidney beans(rajma) little healthier version.

Main ingredient for hummus is Tahini paste. I will post tahini recipe on other blog. So lets jump to our recipe!!

Ingredients-

  • Boiled kidney beans (rajma)
  • Olive oil
  • Tahini Paste
  • Lemon juice
  • Cumin powder
  • 4-5 Chopped garlic
  • 1 Small chopped onion
  • Half tomato chopped
  • 2 chopped green chilly
  • salt
  • paprika/peri-peri

Steps-

  • In a blender add cooked kidney beans, tahini paste, olive oil, lemon juice,onion, tomato, green chilly, garlic, cumin powder, salt to taste & blend it till it get smooth & creamy paste. (add little amount of water if you want its, totally optional) 
  • while serving add olive oil & dress it with paprika/peri-peri.

(If you want it more creamy add more olive oil while blending)
